Name and Address Differences in Letter of Credit Documents: What Matters?

How UCP 600 Article 14(j) treats differences in beneficiary and applicant addresses, and when name differences matter.

Short answer

UCP 600 Article 14(j) says the addresses of the beneficiary and applicant on documents need not match the credit or other documents, but must be in the same country as stated in the credit; contact details given as part of the address are disregarded. Names are different: a wrong or different company name can be a discrepancy.
