Short answer
Road transport documents, including the CMR consignment note, are examined under UCP 600 Article 24. They must show the carrier's name, be signed by the carrier or an agent (or bear a receipt stamp), and show the place of shipment and destination stated in the credit. A road document must appear to be the original for the consignor or shipper, or bear no marking indicating for whom it was prepared (Art. 24(b)).
