Short answer
A correction workflow turns each discrepancy found before presentation into a tracked action: identify the issue against the credit, decide whether to correct, amend or seek a waiver, send the fix to the document's issuer, recheck the corrected document against the whole set, and present only when everything is resolved or consciously accepted.
| Start | Discrepancy report |
|---|---|
| Options | Correct, amend, waiver |
| Finish | Recheck the full set |
Workflow
- Log each finding with the credit reference and evidence.
- Decide the route: correct the document, amend the credit, or request a waiver.
- Assign an owner and due date before the presentation deadline.
- Send exact required wording to the issuer.
- Recheck the corrected document against all others.
- Close the finding only after recheck.
Prioritise
- Issues that cannot be corrected (late shipment) — need amendment or waiver.
- Documents with long lead times (chamber, carrier).
- Simple beneficiary documents last.
