MT700 Fields 43P and 43T: Partial Shipment and Transhipment
How to read MT700 fields 43P and 43T and what 'allowed', 'not allowed' and 'conditional' mean.

Short answer
Field 43P states whether partial shipments are allowed and 43T whether transhipment is allowed. If silent in the credit, UCP 600 Art. 31(a) allows partial drawings or shipments. Even where transhipment is 'not allowed', Articles 19–20 still permit it in some cases when goods are shipped in containers under one transport document.
| 43P | Partial shipments |
|---|---|
| 43T | Transhipment |
| Default | Partial allowed (Art. 31(a)) |
